Etihad Stadium & Sport City Manchester
The 53,400 capacity Etihad Stadium (formerly the City of Manchester Stadium), is the home ground of Manchester City football club. In recent years, City have been Premier League champions in the 2011-2012, 2013-14, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2020-2021 and also 2022-2023 seasons. The stadium is part of the Sportcity complex built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
There are plans to increase the capacity to around 61,000 by 2026 to make the stadium the second largest Premier League ground after Old Trafford, home of rivals Manchester United.

Move From Maine Road
Manchester City moved from their previous ground Maine Road in the Moss Side area of Manchester to the City of Manchester Stadium in 2003 and the arena was redesigned to accommodate the football club by removing the running track and installing entertainment facilities.
