Since Manchester City moved from their old stadium Maine Road to the City of Manchester, now Etihad Stadium, the club has gone from strength to strength.

City legend Colin Bell
Once the “noisy neighbours” in the words of Sir Alex Ferguson, City now out perform their rivals Manchester United across town at Old Trafford on a regular basis.
As part of that rivalry and desire to expand their fan base, Manchester City now offer a fun tour of their stadium and museum.

Etihad Stadium
The tour begins in the museum which is dedicated to the history of the club. Visitors can learn something of the Maine Road legends of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s such as Colin Bell, Mick Doyle, Tony Book, Joe Corrigan, Mike Summerbee and Francis Lee. Before that era, Bert Trautmann, City’s German goalkeeper of the 1950’s is famous for playing on in the 1956 FA Cup Final with a broken neck.
Your tour guide then takes you around the stadium’s impressive facilities including the home and away dressing rooms before going into the stands for a view of the pitch.
Backed by the UAE, Manchester City are now a very rich club indeed with affiliated teams in North America and Australia.
