History

The George and Dragon is one of the oldest buildings, and the oldest pub, in Acton, having been established in the 17th century. It still has its original wooden beams and stone fireplace.

Unfortunately, the pub is squashed between Acton’s betting shops, pound shops, and even empty shops. However, it still manages to maintain its place on the High Street, attracting a huge variety of customers.

It has an incredibly homely feel, fantastic food and an array of great drinks.

The pub has recently been refurbished and a Dragonfly Brewery opened in its backroom in May 2014.
