Our little corner of Devon
Our street
Here is a pic of our street, our little corner of Devon. You can just about see the green hill in the distance. When we first looked at the place, to buy, last year; walking down this little street was a really good omen.
As you can see, we have no parking place but that means no-one else has either which means no enormous white van parked right outside your front window.
Apparently a fire destroyed (or should I say “razed” – why not, it’s not often one gets the chance to use that word) half the town at the end of the 18th century and was rebuilt by the local squire.
So our house is just over 200 years old. And we love it.
Over the next few months and years we will bring you some interesting information about Devon and the south west of England.
