The market is held on the pavement adjacent to Sidwell Street between Paris Street and Cheeke Street in Exeter City centre, north east of Exeter High Street. Keep walking away from the river up the hill from the High Street and you will see the market.

Trading licences are granted for one or two pitches up to 12 months in total by Exeter Council. The council grants licences for periods of 4 weeks, 13 weeks, 26 weeks and 52 weeks.

Fees For Licenses

Fees for licences for Sidwell Street pitches are revised annually on 1st April each year, and the fee for a three-month licence is presently 600 – 700 GBP depending on the pitch number. The stalls are owned by the traders who erect them themselves.
