Haldon Forest Park, Devon
Run by the Forestry Commission Haldon Forest Park, just north of Chudleigh on the A38, offers walking trails, the Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World and the high wire adventure course “Go Ape!” There are also cycling trails with bikes for hire, horse riding and The Ridge Cafe serving organic food and drinks.
Walking trails in Haldon Forest Park include the gentle 2.5 km Play Trail, the 5 km Butterfly Trail, the 4 km Tree Trail and the 2.5 km Mamhead Sensory Trail.

The nearest bus stop is half a mile from Belvedere Tower. Take the 360 bus from Exeter. If coming by bicycle take the A38 Cycle Way and turn off at the racecourse. All day parking for cars is a reasonable fee.
