The Marlborough Maze at Blenheim Palace is the world’s second largest hedge maze.

The spectacular Marlborough Maze at Blenheim Palace is the only maze its size which is designed as a picture (see below). The maze portrays the 1st Duke of Marlborough’s trappings of war. The maze celebrates that Duke’s victory at the Battle of Blenheim in 1704 over a combined French and Bavarian army during the War of the Spanish Succession.

Access – Getting There

Blenheim Palace is located just off the A44 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. It is about 16 m (10 miles) and a 20-minute drive northwest of Oxford city centre. The palace is open daily until 31 October and then from Wednesday to Sunday between 3 November and 12 December.
