Clock Tower at Cardiff Castle, Wales
The Clock Tower at Cardiff Castle was designed by the architect William Burges (1827 – 1881) in 1866 AD.
Burges was a great lover of medieval Gothic architecture. The Clock Tower was a sensation at the time because of the colorful statuary and heraldry used in its exterior decoration. The Clock Tower at Cardiff Castle was designed for the 3rd Marquess of Bute.
Burges was also the architect of Castell Coch also for the Marquess of Bute and also in Wales, the Church of Christ the Consoler in north Yorkshire, Gayhurst House in Buckinghamshire, and Knightshayes Court near Tiverton in Devon.

The city is located south of the M4 motorway from London and Bristol. Exit the motorway at Junction 32. Newport is to the east on the M4, Swansea to the west.
