Olympic Torch Relay Day 12
Today is Day 12 of the 2012 Olympic Torch Relay from Chester to Stoke-on-Trent with Wrexham, Rhostyllen, Welshpool, Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, Telford, Newport, Stafford, Shelton, and Stoke-on-Trent all on the way. The torch will leave Chester from the suspension bridge over the River Dee at 6.56 am this morning.
Yesterday the torch arrived in Chester from Beaumaris on Anglesey and was carried in a RNLI lifeboat and by the Great Orme cable car in Llandudno. Sir Chris Bonington, the famous mountaineer, also took the torch to the top of Snowdon.
