Afternoon Tea in Claridge’s Foyer
Afternoon tea in Claridge’s art-deco foyer is a very special treat to enjoy in London.
Art deco originated in Paris and the style had its heyday in the 1920’s and 1930’s. If you wish to experience some of the elegance and luxury of those years, the ground floor foyer at Claridge’s Hotel for afternoon tea is one of the best places in London to do so.
History
The stunning foyer was designed in 1929 by Oswald Milne, a leading light of the art deco movement, and the foyer became the place to be and be seen by the bright young things of the late 1920’s and early 30’s.
Claridges offers a variety of afternoon teas including the Classic Afternoon Tea, a Children’s Afternoon Tea, and a Champagne Afternoon Tea. Prices start from £50 with a 12.5% service charge.
The award-winning afternoon tea includes a choice of teas, finger sandwiches and delicious raisin and apple scones with Cornish clotted cream.
