The tram stop is on the Rochdale to East Didsbury Line (Pink Line). Stops include Oldham Central, Victoria, Exchange Square, St Peter’s Square, Deansgate-Castlefield, Cornbrook, Chorlton, West Didsbury, Didsbury Village and East Didsbury.

There are frequent trams to Oldham Town Centre tram stop. Journey time is just 3 minutes. In the other direction there are trams every 12 minutes or so to Oldham, Manchester Victoria Station and East Didsbury.

The station stands between Fireground, an interesting museum housed in the former Rochdale Fire Station and dedicated to the fire service, particularly in the Great Manchester area and St John the Baptist Roman Catholic church. Fireground displays 25 historic fire engines as well as various pieces of fire-fighting equipment. Fireground is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm (Bank Holidays excepted) plus occasional special events.

St John the Baptist Roman Catholic church dates from 1927 and is built in the Byzantine Revival style.
