The cavern is a short drive from Buxton or Edale and can be visited along with nearby Peak Cavern, Blue John Cavern and Peveril Castle. From Derby, the cave is an hour and 10 minutes on the A515 and A52.

Edale Station with connections to Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime Street and Sheffield is the nearest railway station. Passengers can bring bikes on to the trains here.
