The Anglers Rest is a pleasant riverside pub in Miller’s Dale in Derbyshire’s Peak District. The pub lies adjacent to the River Wye and is a favourite for walkers on the Monsal Trail.

The Monsal Trail is an 8 and a half-mile walking trail on the former Midland Railway line between Blackwell Mill and Bakewell.
The pub offers a variety of real ales, good food and a self-contained holiday let with separate entrance.
There is outdoor seating with views of the river and a dartboard and pool table inside.

A free house, beers on tap include Farmers Blonde from the Bradfield Brewery, Chatsworth Gold by Peak Ales and Tetley Bitter.

Hours: 12 noon to 11 pm, daily. Food is served Monday to Friday from 12 pm – 2 pm and 6 pm – 9 pm. Saturday 12 pm – 9 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 8 pm.
Signpost to the Monsal Trail
By car coming south from Stockport exit the A6 at Dove Holes and follow directions to Miller’s Dale. It is just less than an hour’s drive from Stockport Station.
From Buxton, it is less than 15 minutes southeast on the A6 and B6049. From nearby Eyam it is also less than 15 minutes by car on the A623 and B6049.
