Freezing Britain: Devon
The freezing weather conditions continue over most of the UK including Devon.
Schools are closed and road conditions are hazardous in the West Country. Temperatures could reach minus 12 degrees Centigrade in Exeter tonight, minus 5 degrees Centigrade in Bristol and minus 4 degrees Centigrade in Bath. Minus 19 degrees Centigrade was recorded in the Devon village of Lapford, which if confirmed, would be the lowest temperature ever-recorded in the county.
The Bristol ferry boat company suspended its services after Bristol harbour froze over yesterday.
Drivers are being warned to take extreme care while driving.
