Tour of Britain Devon Stage
Stage Six of the Tour of Britain passed through Devon on Friday. The cycling road race passed through 137 km of Devon countryside beginning in Sidmouth and culminating in the sprint up Haytor.
The circular route moved from Sidmouth inland on the A375 to Honiton through Cullompton, then south on the A396 past Tiverton, Silverton, Exeter, down the Exe Valley almost into the village of Lympstone, Christow, then Moretonhampstead and Bovey Tracey on Dartmoor.
Simon Yates won the stage, though Sir Bradley Wiggins is the current overall leader with the race concluding today.
