Christmas Market Bath
The City of Bath is located in South-East England, roughly an hour and a half from London by rail.
The Bath Christmas Market has been running for about two weeks every November-December for the past 13 years, with 2013 being one of it’s busiest years ever.
This year the Christmas Market ran for 18 days and had over 150 stalls set up around the city centre.
Each stall has unique and festive gifts, from hand-carved wooden sculptures to hand-crafted candles, decorations and food, many of which are locally sourced and produced. Much of the market is situated around Bath Abbey, where carol singing, services, children’s entertainment and other performances frequently take place during the festive season.
As well as the Christmas Market, a huge outdoor ice rink in Royal Victoria Park has recently been added to the range of festivities in Bath. This year, a ‘Christmas Avenue’ has also been set up, where Christmas treats such as mulled wine and mince pies and chestnuts can be enjoyed while spectating the skaters or taking a break.
