Davenport Station, Stockport
Davenport is a railway station on the Buxton to Stockport and Piccadilly Station Line.
The next stop traveling north towards Manchester is Stockport Station.
Traveling south towards Buxton the next stops are Woodsmoor and then Hazel Grove. There are approximately 2 Manchester-bound trains an hour from Davenport Station.

There are limited facilities at Davenport. These include a self-service ticket machine on the Manchester-bound platform as well as sheltered waiting areas with seats on both platforms. There is an electronic noticeboard on the Stockport and Manchester-bound platform.

The station is close to Cale Green Park, one of the oldest public parks in Stockport after Vernon Park. Cale Green Park opened in 1902, while Vernon Park in Offerton next to Woodbank Park dates from 1858.
It is also a short walk from Stockport Grammar School on the A6 and Stockport Cricket Club off Beech Road. The A6 has the 192 bus route between Stockport and Manchester as well as the 199 bus to Manchester Airport from Buxton.
The following buses all stop close to the station: the 374 (Stockport, Davenport, Hazel Grove circular), 378 (Stockport to Cheadle Hulme circular), 379 (Stockport – Davenport – Bramhall – Cheadle Hulme), 843 (Harrytown to Hazel Grove), 850 (Adswood Road – Bramhall High School), 852 (Cheadle Heath – Edgeley – Davenport – Pownall Green) and 874 (Cheadle Heath – Edgeley – Davenport – Hazel Grove).
