Woodsmoor Station, Stockport
Woodsmoor Station is a railway station on the Buxton to Stockport and Piccadilly Station Line.
The next stop travelling north towards Manchester is Davenport and then Stockport Station.
Travelling south towards Buxton the next stop is Hazel Grove. There are approximately 2 Manchester-bound trains an hour from Woodsmoor Station.

The station is only staffed on weekdays during peak periods: 7. 10 am – 10.10 am. At other times passengers can purchase a ticket from a machine on Platform 1, the Stockport and Manchester-bound platform.
There are no toilets or waiting rooms. The station has a pleasant feel with flowers in planters and lots of trees and greenery in the area. There is an automatic information sign on Platform 1.

The station is a 15-20 minute walk to Stepping Hill Hospital

The station is a close walk from the A6 and the 192 bus route between Stockport and Manchester and the 199 bus to Manchester Airport.
Also close by is Great Moor Park and the large Stepping Hill Hospital. From the station it is a short walk to two pubs: The Crown and The Travellers Call both on the A6.
